| Tips
for landscape oil painters |
Do your greens look way too green, or what I call
"gangreen"?
Try adding your greens to warmer hues such as yellows,
oranges, reds, the siennas and if necessary add a little white.
If attempting to mix greens with yellow and blues, mix the blues
into the yellows and adjust with white. |

Mixing colors on the canvas will make for a more interesting
hue, and to achieve a more painterly effect, try not to overmix
the paints on the palette or canvas. |
