Below is an update of PT from Rev. Minner:

"Thank you for your gift of love, and prayers that helped me go on "The Miracle Journey" to New York with my son P.T.  As you recall, I left Sacramento on Good Friday with literally no hope, but as I said before I left I have the faith that I will return with risen hope that my son, P.T. will live, AND I DID!

After two days of intensive examinations by Dr. Alfred Slonim, one of four Doctors in the world that is an expert on Pompe Disease, it was confirmed that my son, P.T. does not have Classical Pompe which was diagnosed previously (I was told by a doctor in San Francisco that he would more than likely be dead by the age of two).  I would not accept this as a fact because I believe in God, and I believe in Miracles.  Thank you for believing with me, because without your financial support and prayers the Miracle Trip would not have been possible.

P.T. was diagnosed with non-classical Pompe and is now on a strict high protein diet, and medication that is designed to keep him healthy until the enzyme replacement treatment can be approved by the FDA next year around this time.  Dr. Slonim stated that he is doing things that he should not be able to do .. and that's a miracle within itself.

I must continue to make the public aware of this disease; that is taking the lives of so many of our babies and the parents are not even aware most of the time why their child died.  I learned so much about Pompe Disease while in New York and I met top scientists, doctors, chemists, all dedicated to finding a cure for this disease.

I would be happy to come to your church, social group, and club meetings to sing as well as speak on this disease and the highlights of The Miracle Journey.  It is an inspiring story and you will be blessed and encouraged that you can make it through any crisis that comes your way ... just keep the faith.  I am a living witness that it works.  Call me at 916-363-8797 if interested, or please consider attending my concert at Garbeau's Dinner Theater on July 29th, 2000.  Featuring "Everyday People" in a musical "Music that Makes the Heart Sing".  I will also be sharing the highlights of "The Miracle Journey" in testimony and song.

Thank you again and again.

Peace and Love,

Reverend Prentice T. Minner.
